Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Business Banker to join our Sydney-based team. As a key member of the State Team, you will be responsible for cultivating strong connections with our customers and communities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial lending and/or B2B sales, with excellent customer service skills and sound financial analysis abilities.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service, including completing loan settlement tasks and facilitating conversations with customers to understand their needs.

  • Originate and initiate fulfillment of business products for Small Business Banking customers, including commercial lending up to $1m.
  • Conduct non-face-to-face needs-based conversations for clients with an identified new opportunity.
  • Complete proactive outbound calls to existing Small Business Banking clients, supported by the Customer Engagement Engine and Next Best Conversations.

In this role, you will improve our responsiveness to meeting customer needs by managing new opportunities and identifying solutions for new and existing Small Business customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Commercial lending experience or B2B sales background.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both face-to-face and non-face-to-face.
  • Sound financial analysis skills and commercial acumen.
  • Experience in facilitating conversations with customers to help understand their needs, managing a pipeline of opportunities, and facilitating proactive customer contact.
