Renal Service Nurse Leader

Overview of the Role

This position entails delivering high-quality, specialized nursing care at an advanced practice level to individuals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical guidance, support and supervision to less experienced professionals to achieve person-centered quality care.
  • The Renal Service Nurse Leader utilizes best practice evidence to deliver person-centered specialist nursing care.
  • Selection Criteria: Current registration with the relevant health authority as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in Renal Nursing with a minimum of three years' experience working in the specialty area.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of the complexities involved in providing specialized nursing care within a multidisciplinary context.
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision-making and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
  • Effective communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with others in a professional manner.
