Risk and Compliance Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a reputable, mid-sized Wealth Advisory and Professional Services firm with offices across Australia. We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance professional to lead our enterprise risk and regulatory compliance efforts.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager – Risk & Compliance to shape our firm's approach to enterprise risk and regulatory compliance while gaining exposure across all facets of the business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and enhancing our enterprise risk and compliance frameworks.

You will promote our firm's risk appetite and culture across business functions, support business units in identifying, assessing, and managing key risks and regulatory obligations, and advise on policy development, control design, and risk mitigation strategies.

We are looking for a skilled communicator who can interpret regulatory requirements and deliver practical, business-aligned solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AFSL regulations, experience in a risk and compliance role within the financial services sector, and strong knowledge of investment or financial advice and professional services environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure risk and compliance awareness firm-wide
  • Prepare reports and insights for executive management and the Risk Committee
