Now processing over $1 billion in monthly payments volume, Zai continues to grow at a record pace; due to our continued expansion, we have a new hybrid role opening in our state-of-the-art Melbourne HQ.

Zai, a leading payment platform provider, is seeking an exceptional Enterprise Risk Manager to join our growing Risk and Compliance team. In this pivotal role, you'll become a champion for Zai's compliance framework, leading its implementation, ongoing enhancement, and ensuring its effectiveness. You'll report directly to the Chief Risk Officer, playing a critical role in navigating Zai through the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

**Make a lasting impact**:

- Spearheaded the development and implementation of a new, tailored ERM framework that addresses the specific risks inherent to payment platforms.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive Risk and Control Register, ensuring all identified risks are documented and effectively managed.
- Proactively identify and assess potential risks through ongoing monitoring of internal operations, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and implement processes for collecting, validating, and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to measure the health of the ERM framework.
- Champion a culture of risk awareness by delivering training programs and fostering open communication around risk identification and reporting.
- Generate clear and insightful risk reports for senior management and stakeholders, leveraging tools like control attestations and heat maps.
- Support the Risk and Compliance team in reporting to the Board and Senior Leadership on Zai's risk profile and ERM framework effectiveness.
- 3+yrs experience within a Payments firm would be highly advantageous, or similar Financial Services firm (banking/transactions)
- Educated to degree level
- Previous experience in a Risk role with a focus on Cards/Scheme Compliance
- Strong and effective communicator, ability to engage at all levels of an organisation
- Professional, diligent and adaptable
- Able to execute and deliver to a high level of quality and within required timeframes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others through logical and well-thought-out reasoning
- Proven ability to adopt regulatory compliance governance and the Three Lines of Defence model.
- Demonstrated strong time and project management skills
- You will be willing to challenge the status quo and be able to instigate change management where required.
