About the Role

This role requires someone who can play an essential part in supporting and empowering individuals with disability to live a life of their choosing and be respected and valued within their community. You will provide a range of community services to assist clients to be actively involved in their local community, engaged in meaningful opportunities and build relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Client Independence: Deliver a range of person-centred programs to support clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community.
  • Behaviour Support Plans: Work with behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.
  • Personal Care: Assist and support clients with personal and hygiene care.
  • Progress Notes and Record-Keeping: Maintain progress notes and record-keeping for clients.

About You

This role requires someone resilient both physically and emotionally. We're after people that have a good heart, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disability and have similar values to ours. However, it does help if you have:

  • Flexibility: Ability to work multiple shifts a day including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Personal Qualities: High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect.
  • Certifications: Current Australian driver's license, Current First Aid and CPR certificate, NSW Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
