About the Role

Our Rail Operations team in Seven Hills, NSW is seeking a Senior Railway Signalling Commissioning Specialist with extensive experience in Sydney Trains. With numerous high-profile projects on the horizon, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures that align with current TfNSW standards.
  • Oversee cost management and subcontractor operations.
  • Ensure seamless project delivery through effective strategy implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage competencies of Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning resources.
  • Conduct thorough compliance reviews and audits for all testing and commissioning work.
  • Assess and manage training requirements for Laing O'Rourke Testing and Commissioning resources.
  • Evaluate operational readiness of each project to ensure successful handover.
  • Provide regular progress reports on relevant activities.
About You (Required Experience)
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in railway signalling, site testing, and commissioning.
  • Proven track record of managing teams during the delivery phase of Testing and Commissioning.
  • Experience in preparing Testing and Commissioning documents, including strategies, methodologies, work packages, procedures, reports, SWMS, and JSEAs.
  • Sydney Trains and/or ARTC Statement of Competency – Signalling Engineer/Tester in Charge/Commissioning Engineer required.
  • Member or Fellow in IRSE (Institute of Railway Signal Engineers).
