Health Information Services Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Information Services Officer to join our team at Healthscope. As a key member of our Health Information Services department, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Compile and maintain medical records of discharged patients, ensuring all forms are in the correct order
- Retrieve medical records from off-site storage and collect records from wards
- Sort and file medical records in a terminal digit filing system
- Cull medical records to be moved to our off-site storage facility
- Manage incoming telephone calls and respond to inquiries
- Sort and file incoming correspondence, reports, and results
- Provide health information to internal and external clients in accordance with Healthscope's Release of Information policy
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience in an administrative role in a healthcare setting
- Experience with WebPAS Patient Administration System
- Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality principles
- Knowledge of medical terminology
