About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of health information records to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to enquiries and requests from various stakeholders, including doctors, patients, and community members.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to ensure the delivery of health information records in a legal, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Maintain departmental processes, including the completion of medicolegal worksheets, spreadsheets, folders, and files.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and be able to ask for assistance when required.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with multiple enquiries.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a busy administrative environment, preferably in the health or medical industry.
  • Strong computer literacy and keyboard skills, including knowledge of electronic patient administration systems, email systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • High standard of organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and achieve deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
