Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Undercover Operations Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing daily activities with a crew, ensuring statutory compliance and delivering exceptional results.

This position involves providing safe and efficient delivery of activities across all sections of the operation on a shift-by-shift basis. You will be required to monitor, consult, and make decisions to ensure delivery of plans as outlined by managers and peers.

You will assist in maintaining statutory inspections and reporting. Your ability to operate equipment efficiently to meet or exceed production targets will be essential. Effective communication of relevant issues to oncoming operators and collaboration with Process coordinators to plan maintenance activities are also key responsibilities.

Fostering a culture of excellence through consistent and effective behaviours is crucial to your success in this role. To excel, you will have extensive experience working within the underground coal mining industry with demonstrated understanding of the coal mining process and relevant mining legislation.

  • Experience with the Second Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (Undermanager RII50920: Diploma of Underground Coal Mine Management).
  • Possess Queensland Deputy or NSW Deputy Certificate with Mutual Recognition.
  • Hold current First Aid Certificate – Minimum Provide First Aid.
