Security Excellence Manager

At Scentre Group, we're on a mission to create extraordinary places and experiences that connect and enrich communities. As our new Risk & Security Manager at Westfield Warringah Mall, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of both customers and employees.
About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Risk & Security Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll take the lead in managing security and risk operations across the Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of employees, contractors, retailers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Lead the implementation of our Safety Framework, partnering with stakeholders to create a secure environment that exceeds customer expectations.
- Community Engagement: Develop and foster partnerships with local authorities and community groups, reinforcing the Centre's role as a vibrant community hub.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee risk and security operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and contractor management, ensuring daily operations run seamlessly and customer experience is top-notch.
- Emergency Response: Lead and train teams to respond effectively to emergencies, maintaining comprehensive safety documentation and compliance.
- Continuous Innovation: Advocate for change, support new safety initiatives, and drive a culture that values continuous improvement and innovative thinking.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Work closely with support teams, emergency services, contractors, and internal partners to deliver safe, compliant, and community-focused outcomes.
Our competitive salary package includes an estimated $120,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as five days paid Life Leave, 18 weeks gender-neutral paid parental leave, and superannuation contributions.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A solid background in security, risk management, and workplace health & safety.
- Solid experience in risk & security management in retail, property, hospitality, entertainment, leisure, or other services industry.
- The ability to mitigate & manage risk, manage incident response, and follow through with reporting, authority interaction, & assisting with insurance claims management.
- Experience & technical knowledge of CCTV & Access Control systems, & visitor & contractor management systems.
