The role of a Security Officer can be performed in various sectors and roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties and responsibilities associated with this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a security presence while remaining alert and focused.
  • Concierge/commercial building security.
  • Access control and monitor CCTV.
  • Respond professionally to customer enquiries.
  • Direct and escort visitors to site.
  • Visitor sign in/induction and key Registers and issue of keys.
  • Identify and report building maintenance issues.
  • Conduct foot patrol internal and external.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Australian citizenship.
  • Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate.
  • Current NSW Security licence.
  • NV1 AGSVA clearance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment.
  • Integrity and sound judgment.
