About the Role

Fuse Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate all resources and stakeholders, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor quality and performance, and summarize and communicate project progress and profitability.
  • Day-to-Day Management: Evaluate system and design systems, prepare and supervise documentation and equipment for installation, attend and/or supervise onsite implementation of projects, client liaison, evaluations, and reporting.
  • Project Planning: Create project breakdowns, analyze costs associated with each section of a project, and submit contract submissions.
  • Installation Documentation: Ensure installation documents, including site information, system block diagrams, equipment layout, cable schedules, rack layouts, metal/woodwork drawings, are ready for the install team prior to commencement of installation.
  • Bill of Materials and Labour Planning: Create detailed bills of materials, purchase requisitions, and special requirement lists for action by various teams and departments, and develop labour plans for projects detailing the types of staff required each day.
  • Administration and Travel: Complete general administration tasks and travel to various sites and businesses undertaking tasks in line with a Project Manager's role.
  • Consultation and Liaison: Consult with builders and/or customers regarding site requirements, work health and safety expectations, site inductions, and site-specific queries.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in project management and/or construction management with exposure to audio, network, and electrical systems or similar.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years proven project/contact management experience involving installation of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems, including onsite experience.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of construction methodologies, including cable installations and structural integrity of materials, commercial acumen, and the ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, design documentation, and specifications.
  • Personal Qualities: Proven practical experience with work health and safety principles and practices, high-level organizational and administrative skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
