Key Responsibilities

Strategic Focus

  • Establishing project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals in partnership with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Assessing trade-offs among project size, complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value.
  • Facilitating informed engagement and decision-making based on factual data.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs and outcomes to ensure alignment with financial objectives.

Operational Management

  • Collaborating with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria for effective customer outcome delivery.
  • Building, leading, and mentoring project teams throughout the project and Software Delivery life cycles.
  • Engaging and motivating the team, addressing their needs, and fostering a friendly and productive work environment. Holding oneself and team members accountable for meeting commitments while providing direction and removing obstacles to facilitate progress.
  • Creating and implementing a project schedule to achieve objectives within an agreed timeframe.
  • Securing agreement on and monitoring project timelines.
  • Establishing change control mechanisms to manage project schedules effectively.
  • Utilizing cost management techniques in conjunction with change control to manage expenses.
  • Delivering informed recommendations and updates to advance technology projects and keep key stakeholders informed.

People Leadership

  • Exhibiting appropriate working methods and proficiency for complex projects.
  • Actively fostering collaborative partnerships with Technical Analysts, Business Analysts, and teams to support project delivery and broader business outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships and collaborating across functions to achieve objectives.
  • Modeling transparent and trustworthy communication, effectively interpreting ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Working with team managers to identify project resource requirements (number, skills, and duration).

Governance & Risk

  • Implementing effective governance for project tracking and reporting to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, tracking reports, and financial information.
  • Proactively managing project budget variances, scope, and change requests while enforcing compliance with project governance and methodology.
  • Establishing quality assurance processes that drive continuous improvement.
  • Defining and achieving quality objectives, standards, and levels to be incorporated into the project plan.
  • Developing risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess, and resolve project risks as they arise.
  • Promoting a culture of risk and compliance awareness.

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • 7+ years of experience in successful project management.
  • 4+ years of experience in project management within the financial services sector.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or degrees are preferred.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in time, cost, scope, quality reporting, and governance.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to coach and influence key relationships and stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute with a solid understanding of Link Group Technologies.
  • Strong experience in managing Risk and Compliance.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams across diverse platforms and locations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of efficiently mobilizing time and resources to achieve objectives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including regular and accurate updates to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience working with Software Delivery Life Cycle teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Technical Analysts and Business Analysts to support project delivery and broader business outcomes.
  • Proficient in the use and implementation of Agile methodology.
  • Relevant education, such as PMP Certification (essential), Scrum, etc.
  • Sound proficiency with Jira and Azure DevOps (essential).
