We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Randstad on an exciting project. This is a 10-month contract with a possible extension at $72.63/hr plus super.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for leading the design management team and ensuring all projects are designed, detailed, and delivered to high quality, in compliance with safety standards, from concept stage to design development through to construction phase. This will include:

  • Planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating project reviews and quality assuring the design and construction.
  • Providing technical advice on site planning, building design, authority approval, strategies, and processes, construction detailing, safety-in-design, and reviewing shop drawings across various project typologies in the design development phase as well as providing guidance and support in the construction phase.
  • Working towards achieving the current and new environmental and sustainability initiatives of our clients and the NSW Government.
About the Ideal Candidate:

You will have worked in a similar role and ideally have the following:

  • Previously worked as a residential Architect across all phases of projects from Concepts through to Construction specifically for Class 2 (NCC) and Class 3 (NCC) buildings.
  • Strong understanding of SEPPs, ADG, Liveable Housing Guidelines, NCC, and all applicable Australian Standards.
  • Tertiary degree in Architecture.
  • Be eligible for registration with the NSW Architects Registration Board, or other state equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in the application of NSW building and planning regulation.

Please note this is a CONSTRUCTION role.
