About the Role

Our mission at the University of New South Wales is to ensure high standards of animal welfare and ethical compliance while supporting researchers.

This role involves daily animal care, environmental monitoring, and facility maintenance. You will also provide technical support to researchers and students.

Animal care responsibilities include providing a safe and healthy environment for animals in our facilities. This includes performing daily checks on animal enclosures and reporting any issues to management.

Environmental monitoring involves tracking temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors to ensure they are within acceptable ranges for animal health. Facility maintenance includes routine cleaning and repairs to keep our facilities running smoothly.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with researchers and students to understand their needs and provide the necessary support. This may involve training or guiding them on animal handling procedures or providing advice on experimental design.
