Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Youth Worker to join our team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people in Central Australia.



Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate and facilitate youth friendly activities for people aged between 12 and 25 at the headspace 'Youth Hub'
  • Develop and implement programs to support the mental health and wellbeing of young people
  • Work with Aboriginal young people and their families to provide support and guidance
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will require:




  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in youth work involving 1:1 case planning/management and casework
  • Proven ability to engage and work with Aboriginal young people
  • Experience in and knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, harm minimisation strategies and program development
  • Current drivers licence
