Cultural Liaison and Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Family Support Worker to join our team at Central Australian Aboriginal Congress. The successful candidate will provide a liaison and support service to children and their families attending the Child, Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy and support for clients
  • Coordinate and facilitate children and families for appointments and follow-ups

Requirements:

  • Identifies as an Aboriginal person and is recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluency in one or more local Aboriginal languages, and the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment
  • Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal children and families
  • Current driver's license
