International Development and HIV Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled development practitioner to lead our work under the Indo-Pacific HIV Partnership program in PNG and Fiji.
Company OverviewHealth Equity Matters (HEM) is Australia's national peak body for the community HIV response, supporting member organisations working with diverse communities.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary up to $120k base, plus super and NFP salary packaging available.
Job DescriptionThis role involves leading HEM's work in partnership with UNAIDS Asia, providing organisational capacity to key populations in PNG and Fiji. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring reporting requirements are met and monitoring, evaluation and learning processes are undertaken
- Providing financial oversight and facilitating gender, disability and social inclusion
- Working with program partners to ensure their voice is heard and perspectives are considered
- Establishing and maintaining working relationships with other donors
- Managing partner contracts and identifying business development opportunities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree and/or relevant experience in development or a related field
- Strong program management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- An ability to work effectively in cross-cultural contexts with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
HEM supports member organisations working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities, people living with HIV, sex workers, people who use drugs, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
