Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Project Coordinator to join our team at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge health research and make a meaningful impact on global public health.

About the Role

The Clinical Project Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the setup, coordination, and monitoring of clinical research projects. You will work closely with international sites, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, to facilitate research in respiratory infections.

About the Therapeutic and Vaccine Research Program

The program conducts clinical studies on infectious diseases, focusing on HIV, hepatitis B, COVID-19, and related complications. Our trials evaluate the real-world effectiveness of new therapies and support research into disease mechanisms and treatment responses. We have helped set the global standard for HIV treatment and lead innovative trials aimed at optimising HIV care in resource-limited settings and reducing long-term health impacts worldwide.

Your Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project meetings to ensure effective collaboration and timely delivery of objectives
  • Monitor clinical trials to ensure adherence to study protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Travel nationally and internationally as needed to support research activities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with researchers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduate qualifications in biomedical science, nursing, or another medical field, or equivalent knowledge gained through education, training, or experience
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including those with non-English speaking backgrounds
