About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our Technical Services team on a fulltime basis.

This role will involve supporting the development of medium-term mine plans, schedules and budgets.

  • Support the production of long-term mine plans according to industry standards;
  • Evaluate mine planning options to enhance operational efficiency;
  • Maintain an inventory of medium-term designs, out to 18 months;
  • Liaise with operational, projects and engineering teams to ensure delivery of the plan;

You will work closely with our Senior Mining Engineer and contribute to a successful team that values collaboration and expertise.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline;
  • Mining experience in large-scale operations, preferably in coal;
  • Proficiency with CAD design software packages such as Deswik, Minex or Vulcan;
  • An eye for detail and ability to develop practical mine designs and schedules;
  • Strong communication and time management skills;
