Teaching Associate

We are seeking registered occupational therapists as Practice Educators to join our team in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Monash University.
The role involves providing placement-based education to undergraduate and masters entry level occupational therapy students in a variety of fieldwork settings, including aged care facilities, kindergartens, primary schools, physical and vocational rehabilitation, telehealth practice, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service providers and community mental health programs in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
To be successful, you will have a minimum of two years professional practice experience since graduation and prior experience of providing occupational therapy placement-based education is desirable. You will also need to have a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and may require a National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Check) depending on the nature of the placement sites.

Key Responsibilities- Provide placement-based education to occupational therapy students in a variety of fieldwork settings
- Develop and implement learning plans and assessments for students
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and completion of placements
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of two years professional practice experience since graduation
- Prior experience of providing occupational therapy placement-based education is desirable
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- May require a National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Check) depending on the nature of the placement sites
The remuneration for this role is $60-$80 per hour, depending on experience.
