We have an enrolment of 280 students and are part of Christian Schools Tasmania, an Association of Christians that owns and operates four Christian Schools in the Greater Hobart Area.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Academic Leader - Secondary Education to join our team. This is a full-time teaching position with release time, and you will be responsible for supporting the Principal and Head of Secondary in establishing the desired organisational teaching and learning environment.

You will have the opportunity to bring a Christian world view to bear on the various aspects of the position and participate fully within the spiritual life of the school. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Continuing development of each student's spiritual growth, physical, social and emotional welfare, literacy, numeracy and social skills, capacity for rational thought and decision making, individual gifts and talents, and relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Leadership in curriculum design and implementation to ensure high levels of student engagement and learning outcomes.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board.
  • Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
  • Experience in a curriculum leadership role.
  • Evidence of the development of innovative practice and high levels of student engagement and learning outcomes.

Salary Information

This is a competitive salary range of AU$95,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
