District Maintenance Coordinator Role

This role involves coordinating and delivering maintenance across a portfolio of train stations and Network Maintenance Depots within a geographical region that includes the South, Illawarra and East Hills Lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary operational contact for Facilities Management, conducting inspections, identifying defects, raising and tracking work orders, and liaising with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance outcomes.
  • Manage onsite contractors and maintenance providers, scoping and supervising works, monitoring performance and safety, and handling reporting, financial tracking, and record-keeping as part of both routine operations and special projects.

A fixed-term opportunity exists for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team in this critical role. Travel will be required to various sites across the geographical region.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Trade qualification (or have equivalent experience) in a building discipline such as carpentry, painting, plumbing or bricklaying and bring a strong working knowledge of building codes, safety standards and maintenance practices.
  • Have experience managing contractors or service providers, understand procurement processes, and can work confidently with technical documentation like drawings and specifications.
  • Be comfortable working independently across multiple sites, and balancing on-site work with reporting, budgeting and stakeholder communication.
