The Lifestyle Coordinator will be a key team member at The Sister Anne Court - Surry Hills.
This role is responsible for developing, planning and implementing lifestyle activities and programs that promote the wellbeing of residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities.
- Conducting resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each resident's preferences and needs.
- Planning and implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents, and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents' families and friends.
- Acting as team leader, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to the lifestyle team.
- Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents by closely following all policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A kind heart and passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly.
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or similar.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Strong coaching/training skills.
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents.
- Great IT skills – these will be tested.
- NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain.
