Life Enrichment Specialist

The Role:
- Develop and facilitate activities that cater to diverse interests, such as art classes, gardening clubs, day trips, and movie nights.
- Connect residents and foster a sense of belonging through games, conversations, and shared experiences.
- Provide emotional support to residents with cognitive impairment or mental health needs, assisting with daily living tasks like mealtimes and outings.
- Gather feedback from surveys and family conferences to ensure activities meet resident needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, document progress, and escalate concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and adhering to food safety standards.
Requirements:
- A heart of gold, with a genuine passion for enriching lives.
- A can-do spirit, with flexibility and adaptability to handle challenges.
- Creative ideas to make every day an adventure.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with residents and colleagues.
- Previous experience in caring for elders in an Aged Care or community setting.
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Australian driver's licence (preferable).
