Job Description

Regional Express (Rex) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Human Factors Group as a Group Compliance Auditor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal and third-party audits of airport, flight operations, and quality management systems.
  • Develop and maintain audit checklists and procedures.
  • Review and recommend updates to audit checklists in response to legislative changes.
  • Lead and assist in audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present audit reports to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and follow up on corrective action responses to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist the Group Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining the audit schedule, data, and analysis tools.
  • Investigate safety-related events and report findings to the relevant Safety Management Group.
  • Manage open engineering findings and monitor the receipt of and follow-up on flight operations/ground operations RCA responses.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Group Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience in aviation or flight operations (highly desirable).
  • Experience and/or qualifications as a Lead Auditor (desirable).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering procedures and practices, as well as a good working knowledge of CASA regulations, standards, and documents.
  • Ability to research, interpret, and assess compliance against a range of legislation, policies, and company procedures.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage and liaise with subject matter experts across various elements/functions of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to facilitate the effective dissemination of information.
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills, with a focus on providing well-researched recommendations.
  • Well-developed IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to achieve a recognizable and measurable outcome.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • A high attention to detail.
