Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Leadership team. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of driving change, creating enhanced value in a dynamic business environment, and leading an engaged team to deliver quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, overseeing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Manage the accounting and tax functions of the business.
- Monitor budget performance throughout the year of the business as a whole and individual projects.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and drive profitability.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, external accountants, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Provide detailed financial reports to the Leadership team.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CA preferred).
- Proven experience as a Finance Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Committed to the role as a trusted advisor and helping lead the business as it continues its growth.
- Advanced user of financial software and systems, MYOB Advanced preferred.
