About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Zero Harm Business Partner to join our team at Downer Group. As a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and support to leaders and employees across the Social Infrastructure division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zero Harm Leadership: Facilitate the development of a Zero Harm leadership culture within Social Infrastructure, focused on manager-led delivery of positive Zero Harm outcomes.
  • Implementation of The Downer Standard: Implement The Downer Standard (TDS) and processes, ensuring compliance and adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Zero Harm Strategy: Support delivery and implementation of the Zero Harm Strategy, ensuring performance objectives/outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.
  • Incident Investigation: Facilitate professional and timely investigation of incidents within business areas or lead complex investigations utilising ICAM or equivalent methodology.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Obtain and share Zero Harm knowledge and learning to influence business-led proactive risk management.
Requirements
  • Formal Qualifications: Diploma or Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, with formal work health and safety qualifications.
  • Investigation Methodology: Trained in ICAM or equivalent investigation methodology.
  • Environmental Management: Environmental management systems qualification (preferred).
  • WHS/OHSMS Auditor: WHS/OHSMS and/or EMS Auditor qualifications or accreditations.
  • Practical Experience: Extensive practical experience within a Workplace Health & Safety or OHS related role.
  • Risk Assessment: Strong skills/experience in conducting risk assessments and verification of site safety management plans.
