Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ocean Freight Import Coordinator to coordinate and complete all shipment level activities, including receipt of customer booking, documentation requirements, and local and international transport.

About This Role:

  • Coordinate and complete all shipment level activities, ensuring accurate and timely execution
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members as needed
  • Liaise with origin offices, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure compliance and timely cargo movement
  • Maintain visibility across shipments and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage EDO handovers and oversee billing activities, ensuring documentation accuracy and alignment with operational timelines
  • Implement necessary regulatory compliance procedures relating to commodity and locations for shipments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CFS and shipping lines to streamline import operations, resolve issues, and optimize service delivery

Key Requirements:

  • Proactively oversee customer shipments to ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint
  • Minimize costs on every job file and maximize gross profit on every job file
  • Resolve issues with operational workflow and/or based on customer feedback, escalating to supervisor when unable to do so
  • Ensure all required documentation is in place as per shipment requirements
