Senior Ocean Freight Import Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to coordinate and complete all shipment level activities, including receipt of customer booking, documentation requirements, and international transport.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute all shipment level activities for timely cargo movement.
  • Lead the planning and execution of seasonal protocols for BMSB, liaising with origin offices, customs brokers, and shipping lines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of import cargo, maintaining visibility across shipments and supporting stakeholders.
  • Manage handovers and oversee billing activities, ensuring documentation accuracy and alignment with operational timelines.
  • Implement regulatory compliance procedures relating to commodity and locations for shipments.
  • Build relationships with CFS and shipping lines to streamline import operations and resolve issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proactive oversight of customer shipments to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty.
  • Minimise cost on every job file and maximise gross profit on every job file.
  • Resolve operational workflow issues and customer feedback, escalating when necessary.
