Job Description
A prestigious opportunity is available for a visionary leader to join the Consumer Advisory Panel at the esteemed Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, a world-renowned biomedical research institution.
About the Position
The role of the Consumer Advisory Panel Chair is to spearhead and facilitate activities of the Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) relating to oversight and guidance of Consumer Engagement at WEHI. This individual will also lead the strategic direction of the CAP and the Consumer engagement strategy it governs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and oversight to the Consumer Advisory Panel to ensure effective Consumer Engagement at WEHI.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Consumer engagement strategy that aligns with the institute's mission and goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address Consumer engagement opportunities and challenges.
- Lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure Consumer engagement best practices are implemented across the institute.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Consumer Advisory Panel to ensure effective decision-making and outcomes.
Selection Criteria
- Proven track record of leadership and expertise in Consumer engagement and advocacy.
- Experience in developing and implementing Consumer engagement strategies that drive meaningful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex Consumer engagement challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Terms of Appointment
This is a volunteer position, requiring a commitment to the institute's mission and values.
