This is a key leadership position within the Consumer Product team at carsales, responsible for driving the company's consumer buying and selling experience on retail sites and apps. The role will focus on managing the performance of the current product set, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation, and contributing to the development of a medium-term strategy for the Consumer Product team.
Key Responsibilities- Product Management: Day-to-day responsibility for the performance of the current product set, including uptime and financial performance.
- Strategic Planning: Work as part of a cross-functional team to identify and execute on opportunities and new products.
- Leadership: Contribute as part of the Consumer leadership team to define a medium-term strategy, which opportunities to pursue and how to meet business targets.
- Resource Allocation: Appropriately allocate resources to respective opportunities and new products to meet both consumer and business needs.
- Decision Making: A strong decision maker able to make decisive judgements and bring others along with you.
- Team Development: Uplift team capabilities via ongoing support and on-the-job training.
- Practical Operator: Practical operator; can achieve objectives whilst balancing constraints of resources, budget and timelines.
- Hands-on Leader: Hands on; this is not purely a people management role, in addition to leading the consumer team and strategy, this role also requires the ability to be on the tools when needed.
- Commercial Acumen: Commercially focused; ongoing setting and management of financial targets in line with agreed objectives and the ability to put together a complete business case.
- Team Player: Team player: understand we are part of a team and a broader business; we step in where necessary.
- High Performance: High performance; set the standard of what good looks like for your team and peers to follow.
