About the Role

RPS is seeking an experienced Consultant to join our Advisory Services – Commercial and Delivery team in Victoria.

We are looking for a high-performing individual to provide cost advisory services for our government and private clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Representing RPS, provide strategic and specialist advice and support to clients delivering major public and private sector infrastructure projects and programs.
  • Support public and private sector clients with all elements of cost estimation and associated advice to implement major infrastructure project works and services.
  • Interact directly with clients to support the delivery of high-quality services and deliverables.
  • Provide analytical and practical project delivery support on delegated elements of client engagements.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a high level of conscientiousness, a collaborative team-player, and familiarity with delivering cost advisory services in Australia.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Law, Engineering, or other relevant field.
  • 1+ years of proven experience delivering cost advisory services.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, logic, and reasoning as it relates to cost advisory work.
  • Good interpersonal skills, confidence, and professionalism.
  • Financial and commercial aptitude, and the ability to prepare accurate cost plans.
  • An opportunity mindset, that contributes to identifying new projects and supports team leaders to build relationships and opportunities for future projects.
  • Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office, and preferably CostX.
  • The ability to collaborate as part of a high-performing team.
  • Good attention to detail, supporting the accuracy of work.
  • A strong work ethic, good organisational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced working environment.
