Key Responsibilities- Lead the Risk Advisory team in providing valued risk and compliance advice to our business partners.
- Coordinate the delivery of risk advisory services to ensure effective controls assurance and oversight.
- Manage business relationships and implement frameworks to strengthen risk capability.
- Lead change management, risk, compliance, and insights reporting.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Risk Advisory Managers.
- Stay informed of and communicate business strategies, plans, and change initiatives.
- Ensure robust decision-making practices are embedded in change initiatives to mitigate risks.
- Lead a team that advises the business and projects on their key risks and uncertainties and compliance obligations.
- Ensure the Risk Advisory team works closely with the Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit teams.
- Develop and communicate an annual plan for each business unit encompassing a timetable of risk, compliance, audit, and operational resilience engagement.
- Work with business units to assess and regularly review and report against material risk profiles.
- Support the operational risk team in profiling operational risks and developing and testing controls to manage those risks.
- Act as a key liaison in the delivery of training, education, and support.
- Develop and implement a risk-in-change process for all business unit-led change initiatives.
- Provide independent insight into business risks and identify where these are not being managed within appetite.
- Work closely with Line 1 partners to develop and mature risk capability.
We are looking for a consummate leader, business partner, and change agent with the gravitas to build high-trust relationships at all levels. You will have demonstrated experience in driving change based on regulatory requirements and a passion for superannuation and the positive impact it has on members' retirement outcomes.
You will also bring:
- Strong professional experience in risk and audit roles, preferably in the superannuation sector.
- Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework governing the superannuation, funds management, advice, or financial services industry.
- A solid understanding of administration and operational aspects within a superannuation, funds management, or financial services environment.
- Relevant qualifications in risk or compliance.
