Job Title: Spiritual Support Specialist

This is a challenging role that requires the provision of spiritual support to residents, their family members and staff at our care facility. As a Spiritual Support Specialist, you will play a vital part in shaping the provision of holistic care, ensuring each individual's diverse needs are identified and responded to with compassion, knowledge and skill.

The successful candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in pastoral care, spiritual direction, counselling or similar, as well as clinical pastoral education and/or equivalent experience working in a similar role in aged care, health care or community care. You will also have established skills in preparation, creation, leadership and facilitation of meaningful rituals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing spiritual support to residents according to triage priorities
  • As required, providing spiritual support to residents' family members and to staff
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders

About This Role:

  • 0.4 FTE permanent part-time position available on weekdays during standard business hours
  • Opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care
  • Eligibility for SCA certified membership
