Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Food Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food service department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards, and driving business growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Shift Managers to supervise multiple food service units
  • Oversee production of menu items, manage inventory, schedule staff working hours, hire and train employees
  • Analyze sales revenue, labour and food cost reports to identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with customers and address their concerns promptly
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality assurance program and occupational health and safety act
  • Coordinate regular workplace inspections and WHMIS training for all staff
  • Maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards in food preparation processes

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in food industry management
  • FoodSafe Level 1 Certification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety procedures and training
  • Experience in food service catering and supervisory skills
  • Possess excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Employee relations experience in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
