Site Manager Job Description

This role plays a pivotal part in overseeing the successful execution of complex construction projects. Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

  • The ideal candidate will possess experience in heavy civil engineering construction projects.
  • They should have strong technical knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant software is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for leading and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision is crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are necessary.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to plan and execute heavy civil engineering projects.
  • Conduct site surveys, investigations, and assessments to gather essential data and ensure project feasibility.
  • Prepare and review project plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with design requirements, codes, and regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including earthworks, foundation construction, structural installations, and roadworks.
  • Monitor project progress, quality control, and safety compliance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain project schedule.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
