The Australian Government's Next Generation Graduates Program aims to address top-end talent shortages in Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies. This program will fund national scholarships to attract and train the next generation of specialists in these fields.

The program will work with universities and industry partners to co-fund scholarships for students at Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Levels 8 (Honours) to 10 (Doctoral). Students will participate in industry-led research projects and/or placements to build job-ready skills and provide short-term access to high-end talent for business. The program also includes a work-integrated learning approach to ensure that students have relevant qualifications and experience upon graduation.

The successful candidate will play a strategic role in the development and implementation of this program. They will support the team and partners in student recruitment and retention efforts, as well as lead the development and implementation of AI and Emerging Technologies hybrid short courses. The candidate will also collaborate with thought leaders and domain experts to develop insights for the student experience.

**Your Key Responsibilities:**

  • Bulk DIB processes and strategy for the program
  • Support the design and implementation of a DIB advisory group
  • Develop guidelines for DIB allowance decision making
  • Support student experience
  • Provide advice and guidance on coursework, bootcamps, and additional resources

**Location**: Flexible - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide preferred

**Salary**: AU$110,038 - AU$119,080 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**Tenure**: Specified term of 12 months

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in DIB specifically with regard to research students
  • Capability in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating D&I Plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions on sensitive topics
