Role Summary

The Cyber Security and Compliance Administrator position encompasses IT security responsibilities alongside IT platform administration and support.

This role entails managing all IT security and compliance services, including vulnerability assessments, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), patch management, PCI compliance, incident response, platform backup, high availability, and overall security.

Additionally, the role is responsible for implementing and supporting the production IT environment across both on-premise and cloud platforms, ensuring that appropriate cyber security, compliance, and governance policies are enforced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality technical outcomes for all assigned tasks.
  • Implement and maintain IT infrastructure and security services.
  • Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation.
  • Oversee Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) operations.
  • Administer anti-virus platforms.
  • Ensure PCI compliance across relevant systems.
  • Uphold CPS234 security requirements.
  • Manage security patching and configuration.
  • Enforce server and network security hardening on critical systems.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents following established protocols.
  • Identify and assess IT security risks, recommending improvements.
  • Maintain and administer the entire firewall ecosystem, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Meraki SD-WAN.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Implement and maintain information security and governance best practices across all IT platforms.
  • Manage backup and recovery platforms.
  • Configure, implement, and maintain core network and security infrastructure.
  • Resolve technical escalations according to established procedures.
  • Document technical solutions and operational procedures comprehensively.
  • Audit user access and activities.
  • Conduct incident response and analysis.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT security.
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Focus on delivery and outcomes.
  • Advanced knowledge of security standards such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator certification.
  • Preferably hold Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Services.
  • Cisco Certified Networking Professional or equivalent certification.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of core IT infrastructure platforms.
  • Extensive experience with networking and security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Core experience with SIEM products and associated tools for endpoint protection and threat analysis.
  • Experience supporting core databases, particularly SQL Server.
