Regulatory Compliance Manager - BeathChapman Pte Ltd

BeathChapman Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled Regulatory Compliance Manager to enhance our compliance team within the banking sector. This role offers a diverse and independent working environment, collaborating with a group of seasoned compliance and legal experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and significantly contribute to the management of regulatory updates including FATCA, CRS, and BCoP, specifically for the Bank's operations in Australia and New Zealand.
  2. Evaluate and update the Compliance Manual, Policies & Procedures, and related documentation to align with current industry standards and regulatory mandates.
  3. Address inquiries from regulatory bodies, governmental agencies, industry organizations, or auditors.
  4. Facilitate training sessions to raise awareness of compliance risks and regulatory matters among internal stakeholders.
  5. Oversee and investigate customer grievances.
  6. Support the development and execution of a controls monitoring program to ensure robust internal controls are established.
  7. Prepare and submit regulatory documentation, reports, and returns; assist with internal, external, and regulatory audits as required.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  1. A minimum of 5 years of compliance experience in Australia, ideally within Banking, Regulatory Agencies, or Consulting Firms.
  2. Fundamental understanding of Corporate Banking regulations (including ASIC, FATCA, CRS, BCoP, AFCA, etc.), operations, and products.
  3. Practical experience in designing and executing compliance monitoring and testing is highly advantageous.
  4. Experience in internal or external auditing is a plus.
  5. A tertiary degree is required; a legal qualification is an asset.
  6. Self-motivated and organized individual capable of managing multiple deadlines effectively.
  7. Proficiency in Chinese, both spoken and written, is highly desirable.
