Electrical and Instrumentation Technician Job

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will be part of a skilled maintenance crew responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of fixed plant equipment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities in accordance with standard work procedures to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure all electrical work is completed and recorded in line with statutory regulations and requirements.
  • Assist with electrical isolations and permitting when required.
  • Troubleshoot electrical components and control systems to determine causes of failures including gathering of failure evidence for further analysis.
  • Mechanical checks on electrical equipment (track in/out, interlocking etc.).
  • Complete work orders to a consistent high quality in PRONTO and ensure parts are appropriately allocated as per work order instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and provide feedback to supervisors on any business improvement opportunities and ideas.
  • Take a proactive approach to safety including identifying and reporting safety hazards and adhering to the Life Saving Rules.

This is a permanent full-time role which operates on an 8:6 day shift, 7:7 night shift FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • WA 'A' Grade Electrical licence, Cert IV Electrical Instrumentation & High Voltage switching ticket essential.
  • Current WA Driver's licence.
  • Current EWP ticket, as well as CPR & LV Rescue.
  • Previous fixed processing plant experience essential.
  • Ability to show a high level of attention to detail, quality, and commitment for continuous improvement.
  • A team player with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • PRONTO experience and MS Office skills highly regarded.
