Wellbeing Coordinator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team at Wagga Wagga Community Aged Care. As a key member of our Lifestyle team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and delivering dynamic wellbeing programs that promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of our residents.

About the Role

The Wellbeing Coordinator will lead the Wellbeing team to create a positive and supportive environment that fosters resident engagement and participation. You will work closely with our residents, families, and staff to understand their needs and preferences, and develop programs that cater to their diverse interests and abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver wellbeing programs that promote resident engagement and participation
  • Work collaboratively with the Lifestyle team to develop and implement resident-centred programs
  • Conduct regular assessments to understand resident needs and preferences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Qualification in Lifestyle (or diversional therapy), or progress towards qualification
  • Ability to be creative, compassionate, and supportive in providing Lifestyle programs for residents
  • Understanding and empathetic qualities
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead by example
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to accept the many differences our multi-cultural community may embrace and help maintain each resident's dignity and preferences
