Operations Director

The College's Operational Manager oversees key aspects of the school's daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Develop and implement effective staffing, rooming, and supervision plans for major assessments.
  • Ensure smooth start-ups for key testing events by being present on-site to meet expectations.
  • Collaborate with Relief Coordinator to manage relief staffing and make necessary adjustments.
  • Manage staff rosters and duty allocations to optimize performance.
  • Oversee timetable adjustments and room allocations to ensure alignment with enrolments, subject selection, class size, staffing, and College priorities.
Management:
  • Evaluate compliance with CEWA, Catholic Education Commission, and government requirements.
  • Update and review the College's social media publications and other correspondence as needed.
  • Lead key College staff and foster a collaborative environment.
Event & Program Coordination:
  • Plan and execute Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews, including scheduling, communications, and logistics.
  • Organize staff supervision for PST Interviews and any other Curriculum Leadership Team supervision.
  • Coordinate photography days, including liaison with Marketing Manager, photographers, and distribution of photos.
  • Develop and oversee Careers education programs, focusing on VET pathways, work experience, and post-school transition planning.
  • Build partnerships with universities, training providers, and industry to expand opportunities for students.
  • Oversee the Uni Ready in Schools Program.
  • Counsel students regarding their careers and pathways.
Learning Support Coordination:
  • Review and coordinate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure documentation of adjustments for students with additional needs.
  • Facilitate communication between Learning Support, students, families, and external agencies.

**Leadership and Strategic Thinking:** The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to think strategically.

**Education Background:** Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in educational administration.

**Key Skills:** Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
