About the Organisation
Geraldton Flexible School is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition.
There are 23 Flexible Schools throughout Australia offering a full-time multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling.
Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs; flexible schools respond with flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
The purpose of a Flexible School is to provide young people with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences supporting them to identify and pursue an individual transition to adulthood, employment, further education and training and social connectedness.
About the Role
The Leader of Site Operations and Data Management has delegated responsibility from the Principal to lead site operations and data management of the Geraldton Flexible School and any outreach services related to the school.
In collaboration with the site Leadership Team and under the direction of the Principal, this role provides leadership and supervision to staff and the young people of the campus.
It has responsibility for the operational oversight of the site's daily operations and holds the Principal's delegation in the Principal's absence.
The role also has responsibility for tracking and managing data required for quality assurance and to inform strategic improvement plans to ensure better outcomes for young people and build staff capacity.

About You (Qualifications and Experience)

Capacity to lead the Flexible Learning School (FLS) culture under the four Principles of operation: Respect, Safe and Legal, Honesty and Participation.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills that support a strong community focus both within and external to the school.
Registered, or eligible for registration, as a teacher in WA; current open driver's license and willingness to drive school buses.
A minimum of 5 years' relevant leadership experience in a school environment (flexi school experience highly regarded).
Relevant tertiary qualifications and current teaching registration in WA.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Australian work rights.
Valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
Demonstrated leadership experience and knowledge of leadership responsibilities and data-driven improvement planning.
Experience in leading and building capacity of staff and providing site leadership and organisation.
Capability to lead in trauma-informed practice and wellbeing support to enable positive social outcomes and re-engagement in learning.
Capacity to provide leadership in flexible learning (curriculum and transformative pedagogy) to achieve quality learning outcomes for all young people.
Current knowledge of WA and CARE Curriculum, learning practices, research and pedagogy.
Excellent time management and organisational skills; able to meet deadlines.
Experience engaging with parents and ability to manage complex situations.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Bus license required or willingness to obtain one.
