We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll Officer.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll, including off-cycle pay runs
- Partner with the Business Unit to understand roles, awards, and pay complexities
- Analyze and audit payrolls to ensure legislative and award compliance
- Participate in system upgrade projects and continuously improve payroll processes
- Liaise with HR on employee appointments, terminations, remuneration, and other relevant matters
- Perform ad hoc payroll duties as required
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Officer in a medium to large organization is essential
- Strong understanding of EA/Modern Award interpretation is necessary
- Experience with medium-sized payroll and time and attendance systems like Ceridian (Preceda) and Kronos is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information is required
- Intermediate skills in Excel and Outlook are necessary
- Strong customer service skills are required
