Payroll Officer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll Officer.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll, including off-cycle pay runs
  • Partner with the Business Unit to understand roles, awards, and pay complexities
  • Analyze and audit payrolls to ensure legislative and award compliance
  • Participate in system upgrade projects and continuously improve payroll processes
  • Liaise with HR on employee appointments, terminations, remuneration, and other relevant matters
  • Perform ad hoc payroll duties as required
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Officer in a medium to large organization is essential
  • Strong understanding of EA/Modern Award interpretation is necessary
  • Experience with medium-sized payroll and time and attendance systems like Ceridian (Preceda) and Kronos is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information is required
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and Outlook are necessary
  • Strong customer service skills are required
