About the Role

This is a key position within our organization, providing critical support for employee compensation and benefits.

As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and effective end-to-end payroll services using Viewpoint software.

  • Processing fortnightly payrolls with precision and meeting deadlines;
  • Interpreting employment conditions and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
  • Maintaining comprehensive payroll records, including employee data, timesheets, bonuses, and deductions;
  • Calculating and processing payroll adjustments, including leaves of absence, overtime, and special pays;
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters with professionalism and efficiency;
  • Ensuring that all payroll processing and employee compensation activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures;
  • Assisting in the administration of employee benefits, including enrolment, changes, and inquiries;

You will work closely with the People & Culture team and interact with employees at all levels. This role requires excellent communication skills, high integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer with:

  • At least 3 years of full-function, end-to-end payroll processing experience;
  • A strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations;
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ideally Viewpoint) and advanced Excel skills;
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa allowing you to work in Australia.
