
Patient Advocate Representative

This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to patients and callers. The primary objective is to provide assistance with way-finding, appointment scheduling, pre-service registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, physician referral, and initial screening of patient sign/symptoms.
Main Responsibilities:- Furnish high-level customer support to create a positive impression.
- Offer assistance with class scheduling and answer questions or concerns.
- A high school diploma/GED is required.
- Prior post-secondary coursework in healthcare, accounting, business, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
- One year of experience performing customer service or general office support in any industry is desired.
- Contact or call center experience is highly regarded.
- Experience in Registration, Insurance Verification/Pre-Certification, Financial counseling, Patient Accounts is an asset.
- Able to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers, demonstrating understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
- Proficient with keyboard typing and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment by offering and accepting feedback, supporting team goals, and encouraging fellow team members.
- Highly motivated individual who can work independently, make decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Attentive to details and maintaining a high level of organization.
