We are seeking a Senior Lead to join our Child Safeguarding Unit, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure investigations are thorough, procedurally fair, and trauma-informed.
This role involves leading and mentoring the Child Safeguarding Unit, ensuring high-quality, procedurally fair investigations.
The successful candidate will oversee the allocation and progress of investigations, including complex and historical cases.
They will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold legislative and policy obligations.
Furthermore, this individual will drive continuous improvement in safeguarding practices and systems.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced investigator who is passionate about child safety and has a sound understanding of Victorian child safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and identifying risk.
They will also possess strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act.
Able to work independently and as part of a team, the successful candidate will be exceptional in interpersonal, analytical, and report writing skills.
About You:To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience in leading investigations, particularly involving vulnerable children and young people.
You will also be required to demonstrate a passion for child safety and a sound understanding of Victorian child safety standards.
A keen eye for detail and identifying risk is essential for this position.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act, is also necessary.
Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and report writing skills are crucial for this role.
