About the Role

This Senior Lead position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, procedurally fair investigations. The successful candidate will oversee the allocation and progress of investigations, including complex and historical cases.

  • Lead and mentor the Child Safeguarding Unit to ensure high-quality investigations.
  • Oversee the allocation and progress of investigations, including complex and historical cases.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold legislative and policy obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safeguarding practices and systems.
  • Act as a key advisor on child safety matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead investigations involving vulnerable children and young people.
  • To develop and implement strategies for improving child safety standards.
  • To identify and mitigate risks associated with child safeguarding.
  • To work collaboratively with the team to achieve quality outcomes.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in leading investigations, particularly involving vulnerable children and young people. They will also possess a strong understanding of Victorian child safety standards and relevant legislation.

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and report writing skills.
  • Leadership experience.
