Lead Investigator

The Department of Consumer Affairs seeks an experienced lead investigator to oversee complex investigations and provide strategic direction for the Investigation Services Branch.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a risk-based compliance and enforcement program.
  • Provide authoritative advice to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop a diverse team in a complex criminal and civil legislation-based environment.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant knowledge of legislative enforcement activities, particularly in consumer protection.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of conducting and managing investigations within various jurisdictions.
  • Understanding of the function and relevant legislation of the Department.
